Farmer’s Choice Coco substrate is effective at retaining moisture and nutrients for the roots, while its texture allows it to retain more oxygen, which helps prevent over- and under-watering.
Coconut fibre is the ideal growing medium for organic and hydro-organic applications. Coconut fibre allows for a higher population of beneficial fungi and bacteria, oxygen-loving organisms and higher levels of atmospheric oxygen around the root zone.
This increased population of soil micro-organisms plays an important role in the higher yields by decomposing in higher yields by breaking down organic and mineral matter, making it available to plants.
Coconut fibre is produced from renewable and ecologically responsible sources unlike other popular growing media such as peat based substrates.
