Porous growing media for hydroponic cultivation (suitable for recirculation). It is composed of aggregate clay forming balls of between 8 and 16 mm. The internal structure is porous, absorbent and releases water with nutrients according to the needs of the plant. It is clean, does not decompose and is free of diseases and parasites.
It has a stabilized pH between 5.5 And 6.5, Which makes it an excellent support for hydroculture. It can also be mixed with other growing media. The expanded clay does not absorb water for a long time, which means that in hydroponic culture it does not have a very high safety factor in case the timer or the irrigation pump fails.
Dip the expanded clay in the nutrient solution 24 hours before transplanting to stabilize the pH.
